Charles Wong

Mr. Charles Wong undertook undergraduate and postgraduate study in the UK, US and China, including
 

  • Master's in Global Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business, US

  • Master's in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, UK

  • Bachelor of Education from the University of Liverpool, UK

  • Certificate in Chinese law at Tsinghua University, China

 

This interdisciplinary background in finance, education, business, and law provides him with unique insight into international education strategic planning. 

In addition to these qualifications, Mr. Charles Wong is a Certified Counsellor of the British Council. He received an Entrepreneur Award from South China Media in 2013. He is a licensed teacher who started his career as a secondary school educator. He is also a certified coach in tennis, badminton, and swimming, with qualifications in both the UK and Hong Kong.

Over the past two decades, a game-changer in the international education sector, Mr. Charles Wong led strategic investments exceeding USD15 million, and collaborated with neuroscientist, chartered psychologist and education scholars from leading universities including MIT, Harvard University, the University of Washington, and the University of Michigan to develop the world's first standardized soft skills curriculum, established over 400 schools in 13 countries and regions, and promoted the establishment of over 100 educational projects. He also published his educational rationale into a best-selling book [当爱迪生遇上盖茨].

In the late 2010s, under his leadership, he led People Impact to submit a 5A listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and founded an EdTech education technology company in the UK, focusing on academic tutoring, intellectual, social and emotional  development online. The tutor team is only recruited from Oxford, Cambridge, G5 and the top ten universities in the UK. In December 2021, Mr. Charles Wong signed a collaboration agreement with one of the UK’s prestigious nine independent schools, Shrewsbury School, and co-founded Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh in Cambodia, establishing it from scratch with a significant investment.

In 2025, Mr. Charles Wong was invited by the Chinese Ministry of Education to attend the "2025 World Digital Education Conference," where he spoke as a guest speaker at a high-end forum, further showcasing his professional influence and thought leadership in the field of international education.

Prior to founding People Impact, Mr. Charles Wong spent a decade in senior leadership roles at several global listed companies, including Sara Lee US (a Fortune 100 company), Swire Group (UK), and Siber Hegner Group (Switzerland). His extensive experience in cross-cultural leadership and global resource integration provides strategic support for our brand's continued international competitiveness.

Dr. Bianca Ho

Chief Education Planning Officer

Dr. Bianca Ho is a Chartered Counseling Psychologist in the UK, a Registered Psychotherapist, and a Registered Counseling Psychologist in Hong Kong. She is a senior lecturer, clinical supervisor, and practicing consultant psychologist with her own private clinic.

 

Dr. Ho completed her postgraduate training in counseling psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), gaining extensive clinical experience at a community counseling and assessment center and a child clinic affiliated with Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources. She is also a certified parent educator for evidence-based Early Childhood Parenting Programmes.

 

Since returning to Hong Kong in 2008, she has taught counseling and psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while supervising clinical training and providing professional services to both private and NGO sectors. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014.

 

In 2016, she obtained certification in Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO), becoming one of the few practitioners in Hong Kong to apply this method to early family psychological support. She is regularly invited to deliver lectures and workshops for schools, corporations, and government agencies, and serves as advisor for parent education programmes, with a particular focus on infant bonding and breastfeeding peer support.

 

Dr. Ho specializes in child and family mental health, emphasizing that many behavioral challenges arise from early misunderstandings in parent–child relationships. Her clinical work demonstrates that listening, understanding, and acceptance are key to unlocking family awareness and transformation—leading to improved emotional regulation, psychological recovery, and stronger interpersonal bonds.

 

She provides comprehensive psychotherapy, parental counseling, workshops, and newborn family support, addressing issues from parent–child and couple relationships to perinatal mental health. Her integrative approach draws on multiple disciplines to address root causes and promote both relational well-being and personal growth.

 

Outside of her professional practice, Dr. Ho is a mother of four, balancing career and family while embracing lifelong learning. She is committed to empowering individuals and families with kindness and expertise, contributing to healthier and more harmonious communities.

Dr. Elise Ong

Global Director of Education

Dr. Elsie Ong is a Lecturer and Dissertation Supervisor at University College London (UCL), with over a decade of academic experience across leading universities in Asia and the UK. Her interdisciplinary research bridges psychology, cognitive neuroscience, education, and digital innovation, with a strong focus on supporting young adults' mental health and holistic development.

Elsie is currently leading pioneering research in two emerging fields: the development of self-sustaining AI game-based platforms to enhance students’ literacy skills and 21st-century competencies, and the design of digital tools for assessing mental health challenges in youth. These projects integrate her passion for technology-enhanced learning with her longstanding expertise in psychological wellbeing.

Her previous work has focused on the mental health of university students navigating transitional life stages, exploring the cognitive and emotional underpinnings of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. Drawing from her background in cognitive neuroscience and psychological research, Elsie has contributed to suicide prevention frameworks and early intervention strategies tailored for educational settings. Deeply committed to improving student wellbeing and academic resilience, Elsie continues to explore how emerging technologies like AI, natural language processing, and game-based learning can reshape how we teach, assess, and support the next generation.

Dr. Samuel Chu

Dr. Samuel Chu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong, where he also served as Head of the Division of Information and Technology Studies (2012–2016). He holds two doctoral degrees in education: a PhD in Online Education from University College London (UCL), and a PhD in Information and Library Science from The University of Hong Kong.

 

Dr. Chu has led or participated in over 60 research projects with a combined funding of more than USD 9 million. He has published over 340 academic and professional works, including 79 papers in international refereed journals and 9 scholarly monographs, such as 21st Century Skills (Springer). He is Co-founder and Co-editor of the international journal Information and Learning Science, and was ranked 66th worldwide in the field of Library and Information Science (2007–2012).

 

His achievements have been recognized with multiple awards from HKU’s Faculty of Education, including the Outstanding Researcher Award, Knowledge Exchange Award, and Excellence in Health Promotion Award. He has served as consultant for UNESCO Bangkok, the Hong Kong Education Bureau, Oxford University Press, and Pearson Education Asia. From 2017–2019, he was Chair of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), and continues to serve as advisor to several EdTech startups based in Hong Kong Science Park.

Dr. Mariana Kou

Dr. Mariana Kou is Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Cinese International Group Holdings Limited (HKEX: 01620), with business interests spanning Canada, the United States, and Mainland China. She also serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of GMFIU:US and as board advisor to multiple education companies.

 

Previously, Dr. Kou was CEO of Research Study Education Group and Head of China Education and Hong Kong Consumer Research at CLSA (Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia), where she led IPO coverage for 12 consumer and education enterprises. In 2020, she authored Investing in Dragons: Education Industry and Capital Markets, and is frequently invited to speak at government and industry conferences, as well as contribute to global media.

 

She serves as Senator for China at the World Business Angels Investment Forum (a G20-affiliated organization for global financial inclusion) and is the Founder of the Asia Education Association. She is also a member of the Pacific Basin Economic Council, Co-founder of the Columbia University Entrepreneurship Community (Hong Kong Chapter), and a board member of Zonta Club of NTII.

 

Dr. Kou holds a Doctor of Education in Global Executive Education from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration, receiving the prestigious Raymond P. Kent Award. She is also a CFA charterholder and a member of several international academic honor societies.

Dr. Stanley Tai

Dr. Stanley Tai is a distinguished leader in international development and portfolio management. He currently serves as Head of Portfolio Management at the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Resident Mission in China, where he oversees a project portfolio valued at USD 8 billion.

 

With over 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Tai has worked across 13 countries in the fields of rural development, transport, and social development. He has played a pivotal role in shaping policies and implementing transformative initiatives, directly benefiting millions of people. As a visionary leader, he has successfully led 10 landmark international development projects with a combined value of USD 1.9 billion.

 

Dr. Tai earned his PhD in Development Policy in Japan, and holds executive certificates in Public Policy and Public Leadership from Harvard University. His contributions have been recognized with honors including the Japan Intellectual Award for Asia, Malaysia’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award, and ADB’s Superman Award.

 

Beyond his professional role, Dr. Tai is deeply engaged in education and philanthropy. He has served as visiting lecturer at Peking University, the University of Tokyo, Shimonoseki City University, and Yamaguchi Prefectural University, promoting international academic exchange. Prior to joining ADB, he was an economic advisor at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and CEO of several private enterprises. Over the past 20 years, he has established four educational foundations that have enabled more than 5,000 underprivileged children in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia to complete primary education and gain essential vocational skills, transforming their futures.
